Helping Hands Fairy
Posted by Stephanie Fleming on
Months ago, a reader sent me this review,
If our children believe in angels, if angels add to our gardens, shouldn’t they come in all the hues we humans do? My beautiful brown granddaughters wouldn’t identify with this adorable and very white angel.
It had taken me months to get just one little fairy in from a supplier I used to use when we had the garden center open. I am hopeful for more to come that this reader and others can choose from. What I find sad is this is the only company that has figurines that are not just white. I promise you that I will keep looking and asking for all the different hues we humans come in because we all deserve to be able to identify with what goes into our homes. And not just with fairy gardens. I have sent her review to the vendors with the hope that their eyes will open up.
Please share this post if you know of any artisan or manufacturers who make figurines that reflect our diversity. I would love to hear from them.
This miniature fairy is called Helping Hands. Sitting on a tiny rock, this ebony fairy is enjoying a butterfly that landed on her knees.
Dimensions: 2 1/2" H x 1 1/4" W x 2 1/2" D
